Hiding behind Big Bird
As if PBS couldn't get pathetic enough, a group of Democratic congressmen held a press conference in which they tried to use characters from kids shows, who historically have pushed a liberal agenda, to gain sympathy to get a bill passed that would bring in more funding for PBS. I read the article, and I'm not seeing what is exactly so horrible about this. The article seems to be on the side of PBS. It is tv shows like Sesame Street that get kids interested in learning. I think there is more to this story then just the congressmen "stoop[ing] so low as to pull off such a stunt".
